Great! I use this blender to make a vegetable drink, albeit one that is not Pasteurized. Pasteurization kills a lot of the good stuff. I include vines and leaves and seeds and ice cubes. After less than a minute of blending on high, everything is chopped, diced, minced, and Waringized to a puree! No chunks. No pieces remain on the bottom. The smell mentioned above is simply ozone. All electric motors generate ozone, and the more powerful the motor, the more ozone generated. Noise: one above stated it has a high noise level; I use 2-stroke chainsaws and pneumatic jack-hammers, and I have attended the 1/4-mile drag races at Englishtown, New Jersey--is it that loud? Not so much. The rubber interface between motor and blade is the way to go. The rubber absorbs vibration thus adding longevity; and the inexpensive rubber paddles will self-destruct before any high-dollar parts should a metal fork or a piece of concrete fall into the blades. If you blend household drinks once daily, and don't want to spend $400 for a 3 horsepower blender, this unit will serve you well.

This blender is a HOG! Have yet to find anything it won't blend. A little noisy but worth it.

I purchased this blender for my friend's gym to replace his old Waring which simply wore out after thousands of shakes. It works fabulous making thick, frothy smoothies/protein shakes. His fill-in blender before was an expensive name brand and hands down, this blender works 1000% better. A great "pro" blender.
