This Viking processor is quality built. It has a heavy base with rollers on the rear to move it easily across the counter but will stay put during operation. The motor is very quiet with a single control to either run or pulse. The unit comes with a blade storage case, also large and small blades and bowls. That's all you need. The price is a bit more than the higher store-brand models but I'm glad I decided to go with the Viking. The quality and style is supurb. TF

Disclaimer: I never had food processor before and only used this one several times. It does what it's supposed to. Good build quality. Red color looks great. As another reviewer mentioned it is constructed in such way that nothing gets wedged between the bowl and the disc. It does cause a couple larger pieces of food that you can throw away or chop by hand.

I bought this because it had good reviews and because the kitchen aid and cusinart ones didn't. However, it didn't do what I expected a $300 machine to do. I didn't realise that the one touch button meant it was just on or off (my mistake), it won't grind hard spices not just because it destroys the plastic but it just can't do it. In fact it can't pulverise anything. I tried to make garlic paste but it wouldn't do it. It does slice really well, really quick, and really thin although there is quite a bit of waste. If you use the small bowl it sprays a little bit into the big bowl which means you have to wash the whole thing.
