The rotary switch obviously got something in it, because it takes all my considerable strength to turn (hold everything tight, lest you toss your blender and contents on the floor). This was a nice concept very poorly executed.

The label on the machne advertises it as being a Professional appliance. When you look underneath the machine, it states that it is for home use only. And it isn't even good enough for that.... The plastic gears between the motor and the blender blade easily strip. Viking should be ashamed to put its name on this piece of scrap. Get the top of the line Oster, with metal drive gears, and save yourself $$$.

I just wanted something powerful and durable enough to turn frozen fruit into smoothies. This blender made three delicious smoothies before it broke. After I paid for shipping I received a new one which made two delicious smoothies before breaking. After paying to ship it back I quit.
