The cart took a little doing to assemble. It was not extremely complicated but required a little time and so little head scratching. I have since given it some abuse and it has stood up! I did not attach (bolts through the bottom) the butcher block, instead I left it loose so I could remove it to clean it. (It sits on a number of hidden metal posts that keep it in place.) I am a brute to my counter tops and knew I would make a mess. The wheel locks are nice and work. THe wheels work well even on the crazy tile I have in my kitchen. The appearance is very nice and the feel of it is sturdy and quality. I have all the shelf space filled and it is very handy. I have not put a heavy load on the cart so I can not speak of that. I would recommend it. I feel it is a well designed cart.

The cart fits perfectly into a nook in my kitchen island and have already wheeled it out for extra counter space! However, the wood on the top is not what I would consider "butcher block." It is good quality, but I am not confident cutting on it without a cutting board. For the price, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
