I bought the Suncast 1250B through Sears online ($119.99+tax, free ship). Suncast customer service helpfully supplied me with carton dimensions (70" x 13" x 27"), to assure it would fit into my small car through the trunk with rear seats down--just did. Picked it up last weekend. Some have complained about assembly. I found that by inventorying parts, reading the entire directions beforehand, and following them carefully, the thing went together easily. One glitch was the missing two parts for the latch pin in the bottom of the right door. I found that they had been already installed, but this didn't look like a returned product. My plan was to slide the shed into a niche on my deck that is 31.5" wide. While the shed is advertised to be 27" wide, the top overhangs on both sides as a drip cap. Trying to partially force the thing into the niche distorts the top (stiff but not rigid material) and then the door hinges won't work right. Cannot be completely forced in. My only plan now is to shave 0.25" off the right (weatherwise, the lee side) of the top from the rear for about 16", then the thing will slide right in. Water resistance should not really be affected. I have emailed Suncast customer service for a better idea, but have heard nothing for several days. Meanwhile ... The box comes with molded support for a shelf, and supplies a template (cut it from the box) for you to make it yourself. I wanted much more flexibility. IF YOU WILL NOT STORE HEAVY ITEMS except on the floor, you can install metal strips for shelf supports, WITH THOUGHT BEFOREHAND. On the back, there are two protruding tubes, one above the other, near the corners. Find two more on each side, near the hinges. Here's the deal. 1. Buy 4 6' shelf bracket strips (for those little clips, not shelf brackets), and cut the same (small amount) from each top so the stips fit into the shed. 2. Buy 12 #10 x 0.75" sheet metal screws, and some 0.5" sheet metal screws. Both Philips-head. 3. Buy some 0.5" thick wood trim a bit wider than the shelf bracket strips. Four 6' pieces is ample, they'll be cut up. 4. Drill out each round hole in each strip so the larger screws fit in easily. 5. Attach the strips using the two tubes, two on the back and one on each side. Each should sit with its uncut end on the floor so the shelves will be even. You need to drill out the tubes with a small bit to accept the 0.75" screws (avoid drilling through the outside), and drill out the right places on each strip (with a larger bit) so the screws go through. The sides will correspond with round holes already done, the back strips must have new holes or enlarged clip spaces. TOP AND SIDE TUBE POSITIONS ARE NOT THE SAME. Cut small trim pieces to fit between each tube before tightening the screws so the strips will not tilt. 6. Using a small bit, drill holes lining up with the (drilled-out) holes at the top and bottom of each strip. Put a larger screw into each end of each strip. These positions are going into the thick, air-filled parts of the box. 7. These may look OK, but the strips are out in the air for three gaps each. For extra stiffening, cut trim pieces to fit each gap and use the 0.5" screws to attach them behind the spaces on each strip. Use the holes as much as possible. 8. Cut a piece of cardboard to make a custom shelf template. Try it out at top, middle and bottom positions to make sure it fits everywhere. Use suitable material to make the number of shelves you need. This should work fine, but ONLY FOR LIGHT LOADS. I plan to store outdoor furniture pads in the upper space, and gas grill accessories and a Little Chief electric smoker on its side on lower shelf and on the bottom..

While this post is about the Suncast GS4000 Vertical Garden Shed the whole process of ordering from Amazon is part of the story. The shed is great, delivered to the door, easily set up by one person ( a smaller 57 YO person ), a flat place to put it is the key as any slope would reduce the functionality of the doors. Came a day early, has been up for a week, looks great and is a great place to store garden stuff, ice melt and snow shovels. It is gets dirty spray it with a hose, inside and out.

This is a nice cabinet and costs less than any similar cabinets I could find locally. The pieces snapped together quickly. I needed it to store brooms, mops, etc., as the only piace I have to put these items is on my deck and this helps me hide the stuff. I just wish it had come with a shelf but I'm happy with it anyway.
