Although these aren't meant to be structural, after a car jumped a curb and hit my CR-V in a parking lot I was a believer. It was a slow speed accident, probably less than 10 mph by time the mini van hit my car, but it saved the front end. I replaced my lights and the bar and it was good as new. I replaced it with the exact same bar. One note to installation, the mounting hardware is tricky so be prepared to mess with it for a while. Put everything together loosely and then tighten everything up on either side gradually till it's secured.

I bought this for my chevy s10 and it looked like a good price but it was missing mounting brackets. brackets cost me another $60 from different site because amazon was sold out. but overall great and durable bar.
