I was not totally surprised how well this product performed because my daughter in Florida owns one and used it while I visited her home. In the past 30 yrs. I've spent alot of money having a company out to clean my carpeting and could not afford to have the furniture cleaned because they charged twice as much than the carpeting. Now I can do it all myself and within 4 hrs. everything is dry and looking gorgeous!! I suggest you buy one this minute! You won't be sorry!

We have had this Hoover just over two years now in our 2 kid, 3 lab, 2 cat household (read: used at least 2-3 times per month). During this time, two internal hoses (the one that sucks up and the one they dispenses cleaner) have both broken - twice each. They do not even break at the same time, so I'm at a loss. I think they were around $30 to replace. The ridiculously small (considering it has to hold the whole hose) plastic clips that hold the attachment hose rack on in the back has broken. Within the first two months of use, one of the brushes literally fell apart. That all said, for the first 8-10 months, it worked well. It did leave a bit more water behind than I would have liked, but it cleaned adequately. I just think for a bit more money you can get something worlds better, and be a little more environmentally and economically conscious getting something that lasts rather than dumping one of these every few years. I have now purchased Hoover F8100900 Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner with MaxExtract Technology which has a six year warranty versus one. My second choice was Hoover F7412-900 SteamVac Dual V Widepath Carpet Cleaner with Powered Handheld Tool, Black, but the warranty was the selling point for me - and not having to mix the solutions. Otherwise I had Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge before which was worlds better than this throw-away. As far as pros, it is fairly light compared to the Hoover Clean Surge vac, which lasted about 4 years. It does have a powered brush tool which works okay on stairs and well on chairs. It is very, very easy to clean. The rollers pull right off and the roller assembly can be taken apart completely for cleaning. The clear plastic front pops right off for cleaning the suction area. Also, I really do like the upright canisters. Bottom line: If it didn't keep breaking, I would REALLY like this vac! But... I can't afford to keep replacing parts piecemeal, and I am done holding it together with duct tape! So, I cannot recommend it. The more expensive vac will be cheaper in the long run if I do get the full warranty 6 years out of it.

Like it a lot. Use it on ceramic tile, vinyl flooring and hardwood floors. Picks up well. Does a nice job on our area rugs. It's smaller and lighter than others we've used.
