Rome Armillary Sundial w/Celtic Knot, Verdigris, 18.25 dia.

Add an exotic touch to your garden with the Rome Brass Armillary Sundial with Celtic Knot. Armillary spheres were used for centuries as celestial globes, with rings corresponding to the meridians and parallels on a modern globe. This armillary features a verdigris colored vertical half circle intersected by a horizontal half circle. This horizontal band has polished brass Roman numerals lining the interior, and a Celtic inspired knot on each end. A brass arrow runs vertically through the piece, and when pointed celestial north, acts as a gnomon, with its shadow indicating the time on the band. A verdigris colored base also has polished brass accents along the bottom for more contrast. As the finish is hand applied, individual items may vary.
