Works great, has a strong suction and fills the tank fast. Makes changing the water in our 45 gallon tank much more enjoyable and easier to do, not to mention it takes less then half as long as it used to with buckets. The only gripes are with the faucet adaptor, and water wastage. If you have a normal faucet you have to unscrew the faucet head and screw on the python adapter each time you use it. You can't just leave the adapter on because there is no aerator and screen, so the water comes blasting out all over the place if you open the faucet fully. You have to replace your normal faucet head after each use if you want normal water flow. Half of the water that goes down the drain when you are sucking out the water from the tank is coming straight from the faucet in order to create the necessary suction. So it is a bit wasteful on water. I prefer to stick the end of the python outside in the trees and bushes and siphon the water the old fashion way. For my usages it probably would have made more sense just to buy a hose attachment for the sink, but it is still a very convenient siphon and gravel vacuum, especially during bad weather etc.

I own this product and I own the Aqueon equivalent. Obviously, this type of product is a must for any serious aquarium owner, but the Python version of this hose is seriously crappy compared to the Aqueon. The piece that connects to the faucet leaks and is not well built. Just tonight I was cleaning my aquariums and the faucet piece broke in half while filling and sprayed water all over myself and my kitchen. The Aqueon version has never leaked and is clearly better made. I just wish my Aqueon was 50 foot instead of 25, as I'd definitely use it exclusively.

I just began my hobby as an aquarist 6 months ago I have a 10 gallon tank and just started a 37 gallon 4 weeks ago, and was not looking forward to carrying buckets to clean this larger tank..so I bought the 25 foot for $33 a few days ago and done my first partial water change in 15 minutes the product is really easy to use, I do caution tightening the parts to tight on your fawcett, I had use a rubber jar lid opener to get the copper part off of my fawcett as it was too tight. also the water does come out really fast I guess if you use it often you learn how much water pressure to use and learn to make sure the water temp is as close to what is in the tank as possibel run a thermometer under the water a few minutes while running to make sure it is stable before filling the tank back up, I probably will only use for the 37 gallon..the fish in my tank did not seem stressed they actually came to inspect the python :) I guess they thought it was feeding time again. I am glad I bought and would recommend to any aquarist with a large aquarium, it is well worth the money and it will save you time as well.
