You have to do a lot of work to get anything sucked out of the spa - had to go over every area several times. When I was finally finished, my arms were aching really bad. And why on earth is this item in the toy category anyway?

I have a small fountain (4x6) in my backyard. I thought this would be perfect after reading the reviews...it's not. Key points - 1. the pump is actually pretty hard to pump after about 8 strokes. I'm a healthy strong 220lb guy. 2. the filter did pick up stuff but did not pick up silt and left a lot on the floor. 3. it takes about 15 strokes to go 6 feet. As the end is only 6" wide you do the math - you'll break a sweat using this thing. 4. The worst part - to get the filter out, you have to twist a small wet plastic fitting when you have no grip and it's damn near impossible to get out. I finally did manage to pop it out sufficient to do the instructions "twist lightly"...right. I gave up - too much of a pain with such a tiny filter. Bottom line - I know - I got what I paid for - time to fork out bigger bucks and get something that works.

This Aqua Quik Spa & Pool vac can definitely be considered a toy. It is highly ineffective. The suction action on this vac is practically non existent. It is so mild and it would take you hours to clean an above ground pool. Don't waste your money on this one. Spend a little more and get a vac that actually has some suction power.
