I purchased this to replaced an approx. 6 yr. old Penguin 660. I was so pleased with the old powerhead I wanted to replace with same. I was glad to see the model 660 was still available. The reliability and flexability would be hard to beat, especially at the price. They withstand being cloged, power outage, and being run "dry" during partial water chages. Definately a solid performer. Having tended over 60 aquiriums (salt and fresh)in the past at a local pet store and the personal use at home gives me a good idea of what works and what doesn't. This thing runs like a champ! Functional, flexable, tough and inexpensive.
