This product jammed frequently. Not good for medium length dog hair. I had to return it. I wish I would have read more reviews about dog clippers.

For SMALL longhair cats or dogs, I recommend Wahl's new electronic clipper called "ChroMini" (Chro Mini; Chro-Mini), model 41591-04301. The ChroMini is petite and quiet -- appropriate for home use on (for example) such tiny pets as a 5 lb. Persian cat. See my full review at "chromini" (search).
