I had it for about two months. It just cracked and broke one day when I was carrying it to the bathroom half full of water. What a piece of junk. My glass tanks never broke before. pros: small and quiet and worked well until it broke apart. cons: Tank cracked from normal use Not easy to feed fish through the top panel Made of crappy plastic material

I got this 3-gallon tank for about a week and here's my initial thoughts. This is a good bang for the bucks product that does a great job. It's quiet once the bio-wheel is rotating smoothly. The filter is doing a magnificent job as it's supposed to. I am rather disappointed with the packaging - there is no protection inside the box and therefore I noticed scratches on the acrylic service when I took it out. Marineland should have put some packaging material to avoid these kind of damages! Since it's a small tank, I do notice the vibration when the filter is running. I am not so sure if my frogs can tolerate that. I will have to wait and see. Also the light can get pretty hot too. I have to make sure it's not on for an extended period of time otherwise the temperature may rise. Will update this if I have more to share in the future.

Your water will be sparkling, the gentle sound of the water wheel is relaxing, it's a beautiful tank, but you just can't keep anything alive in it! I have fish in mulitple tanks ( different brands )and they do beautifully, but anything I put in this tank is dead within a 2 month period. Crazy. This tank is not cheap, but there is something wrong. As I write this there is a poor fish gasping it's last breath in that stinking tank. I guess I am out the money because I will not put another fish in that tank only to watch it die a slow and painful death. It's a beautiful fishy coffin. If I sound ticked off it's because I am ticked off. Buy something else.
