Bought these from a nice retired Navy Chief at a large, orange hardware store. They were delivered on a Thursday. Delivery and installation went well. Installers leveled the washer. Every time I ran them after that, the washer tried to walk out the door. Nine days later, on a Saturday, I had time to level the washer myself. Leveled it to a gnat's behind. The washer no longer tried to walk around, but it sounded like a helicopter. It shook the whole house. It was sitting on a first floor, outside wall, with ceramic floor. The flooring was truss-built and very solid. With only 8 dress shirts in it, it sounded like it was going to tear itself apart. I called Home Depot to come get the set. Returned the set and bought a Samsung with Vibration Reduction Technology. I love the new set, no noise, no vibration.

Does a decent job of washing clothes (what washing machine doesn't?) but has always smelled of standing water and shaken the house on spin cycle. Now the motor has failed. Most expensive, and worst, washing machine I've ever owned. Matching dryer does not adequately dry. Beware of these appliances.

I have talked to a number of people about their LG (Lucky Goldstar) washers and they all seem to have the issue of water not draining from the rubber sealer around the door. This caused us and all the others a mildew smell problem which actually counteracts the whole POINT of washing the clothes in the first place. I've also found LG a frustrating company to work with. The associated drier to this model has had serious problems which began under warranty and now that the warranty is over, they will not accept that the issue was an unresolved warranty issue. I have resolved to never buy a Lucky Goldstar product again!
