This is the first item ordered through Amazon that I have not been happy with. Based on the following, copied directly from the item's description, I had every expectation this stand would come with 4 hooks (1 for each end of each chain) and 2 chains to attach the hammock to the stand: "...heavy duty hardware constructed of 3/8" zinc steel for stronger, durable suspension. Features a "Z" hook designed to pull hammock at an angle for secure connection to stand." However, what arrived was ONE hook and no chains. I then had to go to Lowe's to purchase some chain and hooks. I wrote Amazon about 3 weeks ago (the day it arrived) and asked them to look into what was supposed to be sent, and if I was indeed supposed to get more than just 1 hook, then please send it to my address. I have since heard nothing from Amazon. Additionally, the hammock is already beginning to show rust, and I live in San Diego where we haven't seen rain for months!

Buy this! I got this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it. He actually put it up in our basement (to watch TV!) until it was warm enough to take it outside. Highly recommended. It is sturdy and a bit heavy but at long as you buy the wheels, it's easy to move. I got the hammock itself at The Home Depot in the fall for about $30. Wait for the end of season sale for that part.

After reading the reviews from other people, I wasn't sure if the hammock stand would come intact. It did. The box had no marks or tears and the stand was not scrathed in any way. It was very easy to assemble- it only took 5 miutes! We have been using this since we bought it without any problems or complaints. I would recommend it to anyone planning on purchasing a hammock stand. You will not regret purchasing this one.
