The Aerogarden is so much better than what I ever expected! The herbs that I started with continued to grow for 5 months. I had enough herbs to share with friends and still have some to dry. This unit worked so well, that I now have a second unit. All the growing pods have the listed days it takes for the seeds to germinate. Those days have been exact in each pod I have used. I have also harvested the herbs, greens, etc. at the approximate time they have listed as beginning harvesting times. I have salad greens and the salsa garden growing at the same time--great fresh salads etc.! I have recommended this product to many of my friends and continue to do so.

My first produce I'm growing is cherry tomato's. So far they are growing like it is stated in the book. Looking forward to my first crop, LOL.

I bought the cherry tomato pack for mine and have yet to grow the herb kit still. One month after I started and plugged this bad boy in, I had 6 inch plants almost ready to prune the tops off of. A month after that I had over 20 yellow flowers peppered throughout the three plants. Now at 3 months and a week, I have over 30 cherry tomatoes (still green, but HUGE and about to turn color) and another 30 flowers I just hand-pollinated (all you do is shake the plant or I just gently flick the flowers) and already drying up and have started falling off to make way for little tomato buds. I have had to trim the plants of excess branches often, as they grow extremely quickly. Now that the plants are larger though, I have to water them every other day to keep the tank full. I like to keep it full so I don't hear the water trickling into the tank. Otherwise, I could probably get away with watering it once a week or so. Timer keeps track of when the light turns on and off. Setting it was super simple. Instructions are so easy to follow they're almost condescending. The garden IS a bit large and bulky, so make sure you have a good space for it. We keep it in our bedroom because of the lack of space in our kitchen. But the tomato plants are set for 8 hours of darkness, so it works out pretty perfectly. The nutrient tablets melt, so keep them out of the sunlight. I like that you can remove the tank from the base, because if I had to move it all as one piece, I would throw out my back and freak out about breaking it, as the water makes it heavy and the lighting arm is a bit flimsy. I really actually can't wait to get another one.
