KitchenAid 56-oz. Bar Blender, Chrome

   I bought this to replace a previous Kitchenaid model. This is quite an upgrade, in my opinion. This sharp-bladed blender blends much better than the dull-bladed predecessor. It performs admirably for all tasks I need done: smoothies, shakes, salsas and purees. The feature I like best is that the jar and blade assembly is fastened into ***ONE PIECE**. What this means is that clean up is very simple. No unscrewing the jar and washing each part separately. On my previous blenders, I would "cheat" once in a while... I'd rinse them and put them in the fridge for a day so that I wouldn't have to wash the parts as often. Now, with this blender, I put a little soap and water in the blender and blend it up, rinse it, and I am done! How many times do we avoid using a kitchen tool because we don't want to deal with the inconvenience of cleaning it??? My blender gets used a lot more often now that I can clean it in a few seconds!!!

   I recently bought this blender. It is the best blender out there today. I have two other blenders...different name brand and they just do not have the power that this one has. It is an excellent blender and I would recommend it to anyone.

   I use a blender mostly to make smoothies. For that, it is a perfect machine: - plenty powerful - quiet - easy to sit - easy to clean
