We've only had this toaster for a week and we've found nothing bad about this unit. It toasts reasonably evenly from top-to-bottom on the bread. It toasts reasonably evenly on both sides of the bread. It easily fits the width of sandwich buns (hamburger buns) which are generally wider than bagels. It looks like it will hold larger than standard slices of bread. We didn't give it 5-stars because the toasting is not perfect - you can visually see differences top to bottom and on each side - the toasting is reasonable. It's good enough for us.

Best toaster that we have ever owned. Not too big for my space being a 4-bread toaster. The stainless steel looks sharp and cleans easily. Toasts bread, bagels and english muffins perfectly. The cost is worth the results.

Looks nice, but does a poor job of toasting bread directly from the freezer. I had to turn the dial to 8 or 9 to get any browning and all, and the toast still wound up uneven and slighty soggy.
