   I purchased the Back to Basics Apple Peeler a few months ago. Since that time I have used it for three apple pies, and 30 quarts of canned apples, not to mention the "extras" that the grandkids did for snacks. The product arrived in a timely fashion, well packaged, and was very easy to set up and start using. It has been put through the "speed peel" test that only ten and seven year old boys can administer (10 gallon bucket of apples on this venture :) It did not break, it still works perfectly. The blades are still sharp, the corer still works great, and all in all it is as good as the day I purchased it. We had a blast working on the apples together and watching the peel come off in long strings :) Even if the apple is not put on the peeler correctly (core not straight), the peeler still does it's job. (We each took turns putting the apples on the peeler.) At first, the spring is tight and the peeler takes a bit deeper chunk than when it loosens up, but the time saved is well worth the little bit of apple lost. And, we did all shapes of apples and all peeled quite well. There is a bit of peel left at the very top and bottom when finished. This will be a permanent appliance in my kitchen as long as I am harvesting apples. I seldom write reviews but I was very impressed with this product.

   Back To Basics Apple and Potato Peeler I have seen this product all my life and never believed it would be beneficial. Then I decided it would be helpful to make raw vegetable spagetti. The day after it arrived, I found myself with a bushel of apples. So I set it up and began slicing and coring away. It did a wonderful job and in no time I had all the apples in the dehydrator. Very nice job and so easy to use!!!

   My only regret is that I didn't buy this years ago. It makes coring, peeling, and/or slicing even a bushel of apples or potatoes quick and effortless - and I get a LOT more apple or potato than I did when doing this by hand. I make delicious apple and potato dishes much more frequently since acquiring this - and it appears indestructible. (Once in a while, I have to adjust the alignment, but that takes only a second, and is clearly shown in the directions.) This isn't something I would save in a fire, but it is something I would immediately replace. Truly indispensable!

   I can't believe I spent $100 on a trash can, but I have loved it! In a family of six, this was worth the money. Before, we used to have to pull out a smaller plastic trash can out from under the sink, take out the bag, put the stinky bag aside in full view for the day until it was completely full, then finally throw it in the trash can outside, every day! After searching everywhere for a better trash can, I selected this Simplehuman. Now, the 40 liter, attractive (no unsightly bag showing), stainless steel (matches our appliances), holds all of our trash for the day, or even two days sometimes because we can really compact it in there. I like that a regular 13 gallon bag can be used in it. I like the convenient foot pedal that can be reached at all angles, though once I caught my toe inbetween the pedal and can (ouch!). I like the fact that it's easily accessible for everyone and the lid keeps odors in. I'm extremely happy with this trash can! Well worth the money!

   Loved it for a year and then the plastic hinged foot pedal broke, so now we grab onto a grubby can lid everytime we throw something out. (a lot of extra hand washing). Why, if you are going to design a 100$ stainless trash can, would you make a critcal part out of plastic. A little stainless foot pedal and we would still have a trash can instead of trying to fit it into another trash can. Shopping for a new one today.

   Nice looking, functional, quiet. Trash bag doesn't show which I love and it holds a large amount of trash. The shape is great. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it.

   I sent for this cutting board after reading the description and the reviews. This is my third bamboo board (other two small in comparison but still quite good) and I will never own any other kind. This one is a good size so be sure your kitchen will provide the space; but it is worth every penny. Bamboo is much less likely to stain and scratch. Best thing about it? I'll never have to buy another!

   when this cutting board arrived i took it out of its box, placed it over my stove top, laid my head on it and laughed from sheer joy. it covers the top of my stove exactly. the wood is beautiful and warm. i got mine late november early december, and i use if everyday at least once, and it still looks new. it is easy to clean, even if i left cut tomatoe and avocado or something, the stains wipe right off. p.s. i only use mine to cut fruit and veggies....we are vegetarian.

   This is wonderful for counting carbs. I'm not sure what issue the previous reviewer had about insensitivity of the scale, mine certainly is not like that. I keep it in grams mode since most products are weighed more accurately that way, and I can weigh an individual goldfish cracker or an almond accurately. Carbs, calories, protein, all the info from the national database is included and it's been accurate based on my experience, with the notable exception of corn on the cob (carbs are undercounted). I don't find the scrolling thing to be annoying at all, and I thought I would. I do think the process for adding an entire recipe of something is cumbersome. It's time consuming and you can't just enter in the volume of something--you need to know the weight. The best time to enter a recipe is when you're making it, so you can do it as you go. If you make lots of casseroles or those kinds of foods and you really want to just be able to weigh a serving of a mixed food item, then it would be worth the trouble.

   This scale is fantastic. It is nice to be able to place an item on the scale and get all the nutritional information. The only problem is when you want to insert an item into memory, the instructions are no where near what is needed to help you do this. Then when you call the company, the staff does not want to be bothered with assisting you with the problem. The scale is great - they just need to do a better job with the instructions.

   i've heard nothing but rave reviews from other diabetics about this scale.. i kept thinking to myself ehh i don't need a scale.. and then for the next two months i found myself needing one and wishing time and time again that i had one. finally, i went and hunted one down online. i waited ..ANTICIPATED for two weeks it's arrival. i just got it today and its a beauty! i like that it can run on batteries, or you can plug in a wall adapter if you have one.. there's a slot on the left side of the scale for putting a plug in. i'm gonna be making good use of this baby (as a perfect sidekick to the calorie king website!). the only thing missing would be for it to have a way to hook it up to your computer and download your food logs into a spreadsheet that you can graph or analyze or print out. if it could do all that as well then it would be the scaleKing! otherwise, this thing is the best scale i've come across as far as keeping tabs on my diet and nutrition. i plan on using it to help me learn more accurate carb counting so that first, i won't overstuff my mouth, lol, and second, so that my type1 diabetic body will thank me for the acurate insulin dosing! =D Get this scale, i highly doubt you'll Not find a frequent use for it.
