I have used this connector on two tow vehicles, and I am very happy with both. The 4 pin connector adds versatility without the need to buy a 7 to 4 pin adapter. The plastic housing prevents the common problem of the steel connectors, where rust forms inside and eventually shorts out the pins. I do suggest that you install the connector so that the opening faces slightly down, to let moisture drain out, and also seal the wire opening with silicone sealant. I gave the connector 5 stars because I feel the connector is the best on the market if you need a standard 7 pin RV type hookup. I bought mine at NAPA. [...] JD
