Out of the box it becomes apparent that fit/finish are not first rate; there are flimsy metal clips that hold some of the panels on and mine had fallen off in the box. Took me 20 minutes to secure these panels - no excuse for that in a new product. Took it up to my cabin and it fired right up, no problem there. I then plugged in a standard Skil saw (7 1/4 circular) and promply killed it. That's right, it wouldn't handle the saw, had to switch to a reciprocating saw which it could handle. Noise level was o.k., everything else worked as advertised. For the price, a decent unit, but that 2100W max output level is suspect based on my experience with the saw.

I received the Honeywell portable generator HW2000i yesterday. After filling with oil and fuel I attempted to start it. Very hard. I primed it 20 times, set the choke halfway, and pulled the starter cord 10 times - nothing. Primed another 10 times and pulled 10 times - nothing. I worked my way up to 60 primes and 6 pulls before it started. This thing is noisy. I must be spoiled by my old generator. They claim a db rating of 62, I don't believe it. And there is a continuous ringing in the background. I am not going to be comfortable running this in a quiet campground. Generator for sale - only run one time.

i live on a remote island in the bahamas....the electricity goes off frequently and usually on the hottest day imaginable:)i use this generator to power my 6500 btu window unit air conditoner along with my satellite receiver and 26" flat screen t.v.ive run the a.c. twelve hours straight and only used 1.25 gallons of gas...its a little heavy..and louder than the honda..but half the price of the honda...so i dont mind...if you need a generator to run your a.c. this one is great...
