This is an excellent kit , with an excellent drill and saw. The tools a a bit heavy ,but that's the price for heavy duty equipment. Holds charge well during hard work. Recharging is well under the spec. 1 hour. Love the set and would buy again in a beat. To make it better Amazon had a great price.

Quick summary: Drill: Pro: Plenty of power, long extended run time Con: Heavier than other 18V professional Drills, Direction switch too close to index finger, Reciprocating Saw: Pro: Quick blade change Again, battery gives it long run time. Con: Lacks the power of corded saw, as with other cordless tools. The blade guard at times slips with vibration. More details: I got tired of cheap drills running out of charge driving long screws. So, time for a new dril. The modern cordless drills are "disposable", in that when the batteries die, its better to replace the drill, since the cost of replacing the batteries equal the the cost of whole combo set. Given that I decided to get the best drill/saw combo, I decided to get the best set with the best battery available. Milwaukee seems to have problem with their batteries, I have had problems with Home Depot home brand tools. The DeWalt units are OK but battery run time is limited. And the comfort of tool is to me less than Panasonic. I have not used Bosch, so can't compare run time against Bosch. Again, from the battery perspective, Panasonic has the best batteries. Panasonic have their own research and manaufacturing facilities for batteries. However, if you want cordless jig saw, Panasonic does not have that option. So, if you must have the Jig saw, you must choose DeWalt or Bosch. Panasonic tools are limited to Drill/Circ. Saw/Recip. Saw. I had chance to get Panasonic drill/saw combo with three batteries for the price of three Panasonic batteries. So, my purchase was made as "disposable" purchase with three batteries. Very good tool overall,.... reason for not giving a 5 star is that there is no perfect tool.

I have been using this drill to mix thinset mortar for the past 4 months. I have no complaints. I burned out my 6 year old Dewalt drill one morning and this drill was the only thing available for immediate use. I'm glad it was. I had initial sticker shock when i heard the price, but this drill is far superior to my last. A metal housing? are you serious? i thought they stopped making tools this well. The 12" grab bar is a nice feature because this drill packs a tremendous amount of torque. It makes mixing a thick bucket of cement easier. This is an excellent tool for the professional who needs this kind of power day in and day out. I would say it is a little it overkill for the DIY crowd or a once in a while user. i reserve the last star for durability. So far so good.
