Living a bit further away than most customers I was very disappointed to unpack the tool and found the left front leg broken. Some person between the US and Barbados must have dropped the box, resulting in a big crack in the cast aluminum base. Return shipping is unfortunately not an option from where I live so I'm working on a solution to still get some use out of it. If I get some use out of it I'll try to be objective and update the review.

Everything about this saw has been wonderful. I recieved it much faster than expected, and it is exactly what a 10" compound mitre saw should be. I have used this saw for a couple of projects since purchase, the cut quality is outstanding, although the dust collector leaves something to be desired. Overall this saw has been great.

I purchased this saw just over 6 months ago and have been very pleased with it. It does exactly what I need for it to do at a very reasonable price. It arrived undamaged and with all it's components. I also purchased the Irwin Industrial Tools 3061001 Miter Saw Laser Guide along with the saw. I admit however, that I used the saw for 5 months before installing the guide. The blade is easy to access and the guide installed and worked perfectly. It projects a very fine, bright line on the left edge of the cut. It installed in place of the factory washer using the factory bolt. With the blade that shipped with the saw, the left edge of the cut is exactly on the line projected by the laser. So you have only the kerf of the blade being taken out to the right. I would purchase both items again.
