This voltage tester works fairly well except in some cases. Hold it up to 2 inches away from an electrical wire that is plugged into an outlet and it will chirp and the light will flash. However, hold it next to a wall outlet with nothing plugged into it and nothing happens. You have to actually insert the end of this tool into the hot wire side of the plug for it to work. So much for *no-contact* as advertised. And it will not find hot wires through walls.
