What is faux candle chandelier?

A faux candle chandelier is a light fixture made up of fake candles that are made to look like real candles. The “faux” in the name implies that there are chandeliers with real candles, which is true. Real candle chandeliers will give you the flickering light and the scents that come from real candles, but they’re difficult to maintain, require constant cleaning, and they always carry with them a fire hazard.

So what a faux candle chandelier lacks in authenticity it more than makes up for in convenience. There’s no dripping wax, no smoke, and you can feel much safer draping your faux candle chandelier in greenery, flowers, or any other decoration.

Faux candle chandeliers can be made out of wood, metal, glass or crystal. Wood chandeliers are suited best for a casual room of the house, like the den or family room. Metal chandeliers are fancier and therefore mesh well in the dining room or foyer. A glass or crystal chandelier has the same fanciness quotient as a metal chandelier, but is different in that it’s suited better for a traditionally decorated home, whereas a metal chandelier is suited better for a modern home.
