Everpure CB20-302E Chloramine Reduction System

Chlorine and Chloramine are beneficial in that they are used to disinfect public water supplies. In the restaurant and foodservice industry, however, these chemicals impart off-tastes and odors to foods, beverages and ice. In addition to reducing the taste and odor of these two chemicals, Everpure's CB20-302E Chloramine Reduction System also reduces cysts, such as cryptosporidium and giardia, as well as asbestos fibers. With a capacity of 20,000 gallons and a flow rate of 5 gallons per minute, this system is well-suited to high flow, high volume foodservice applications. Drinking water fountains and coolers, ice machines and coffee applications are just a few areas this system might be used (Everpure recommends adding a scale reduction feeder, part no. EV9798-45, to the system's outlet when used for ice and coffee applications). This system contains two cartridges: the CC1E cartridge contains granular activated carbon, which reduces the taste and odor of the aforementioned chemicals. The CC3E cartridge filters dirt and sediment as small as 0.5 micron in size. Holding these cartridges is a high pressure housing complete with a pressure relief valve, inlet and outlet pressure gauages and a mounting bracket.
