Oh snap!!!! This is NOT the Eureka 3670 "Mighty Mite"! It certainly is yellow enough, and the "Mighty Mite" is what I thought I was buying. Alas, I brought this dud home instead. I live in a two-story townhouse and replaced the dated linoleum with ceramic tile in my kitchen, 1/2 bath, and hallway/entry last summer. I also tore out the ugly carpet in the living room and dining room and installed hardwood floors. Upstairs, I ripped out the cheap carpet in the master bedroom and replaced it with Pergo. Thus----I now have carpet in the two spare bedrooms, the upstairs hallway, and staircase. Now that much of my home has hard surface flooring, I figured I could give my good upright to my needy sister and get an inexpensive canister vacuum to handle the few rooms with carpet as well as the area rugs in the other rooms. With Eureka's "Mighty Mite" I probably could have, but with this dud I can do nothing but suck up dust balls under the furniture. There simply is minimal suction power!!! The tiny, fist-sized bag fills up to maximum in almost no time at all, so be ready to purchase new bags within a few weeks after purchase. I wish I could recommend this to folks who have ONLY hard surface floors and need a small vacuum for their area rugs, but this thing won't even lift more than a feather from the surface of the carpet. As it is, I've tucked it away in the corner of my bedroom closet and use it to suck up dust in the corners of the room (Pergo floor). That's it! That is all it can really do. Final solution? I went out and bought another Eureka "The Boss" upright to handle the rooms with carpet and the area rugs in the other rooms. As for the pathetic, yellow junk box hiding in my closet, it will certainly be featured in my annual yard sale.

I actually own at least 5 different kinds of vacuums that I use for various jobs around the house, and have long been a fan of Eureka vacuum cleaners. My little 3.0 HP canister is at least 20 years old and even though the bearings are shot in the motor, I refuse to give it up because there is nothing on the market that can replace it. So, when we needed a light duty vacuum for the hardwood floors at the office, I purchased this little vac with confidence, figuring that at 11 amps, which is only 1 amp short of most uprights, I couldn't go wrong. The motor seems to be very powerful, with quite a bit of suction at the hose end -- until you put the floor attachment on it. I don't understand how the floor attachment can cut the suction power down to practically nothing, but this vacuum will barely suck up the dust bunnies floating on the floor. And you can forget about carpeting. My battery powered Dust Buster has more suction power than this vacuum. The vacuum also does not come with tools such as an upholstery brush or crevice tool. Sadly, this Eureka vacuum lives up to its negative consumer reviews. A great big thumbs down for this one!! Don't waste your money.

This little vac does great on the wood and tile floors that comprise approx 75% of our home. We are rural, have 2 dogs and two cats and hay and sand from going out to feed horses. This vac sucks it all up without a hitch, and is great for getting dust bunnies out from under furniture and cleaning areas you cannot access easily with an upright. No more chasing pet hair around the room with a broom or watching it just get blown around by my upright! Very light and follows you around like a puppy. Love the retractable cord. Bags are small and fill up quickly, but are available at Walmart for about a buck a bag so no big deal. Not effective on carpet, but I didn't expect it to be. Pull out the heavy Hoover for area rugs. This little, inexpensive vac is great at what it does. Has seriously taken the frustration out of cleaning my hardwood and tile floors. Love it!
