The scale itself is great - the problem is the battery source. It's true for all their scales, the 9 volt battery doesn't provide enough power to keep it going; I had to take an old plug-in power source from an old phone to keep it going. The AA battery variety of their scales work far superior to the 9 Volt versions; unfortunately, I can't find one of these scales (this particular variety) that runs on AA Batteries.

this is an compact versatile scale that is good for home use as well as in a professional kitchen.

The scale is great! It responds fast with good resolution. It has been reasonably water resistant and easy to clean. The display is easy to read and the buttons are responsive. My only complaint is that it goes through a 9v battery every 2-3 months. Plugging it in is an option, but that would be far less convenient. Overall, a fantastic unit, and I'd buy another.
