The whistle on this teapot does not work at all. It looks good and it heats well but the whistle not blowing is a major issue. It is very disappointing for a $50.00 tea kettle. I don't want the hassle of returning it. I'll just have to watch it carefully when boiling water.

This kettle takes a long time to boil water, but the main problem is the handle--it doesn't stay upright, and as another reviewer noted, it heats up quite a bit, meaning you need an oven mitt or towel to hold it.

What a BEAUTIFUL tea kettle from le Creuset. I am a dedicated and loving owner/buyer of Le Creuset products and this tea kettle is PHENOMENAL!!!! It is incredibly sturdy and gets used just about every day. I purchased the Caribbean Blue kettle and it is so beautiful...my kitchen just lights up...it's definitely an eye catcher!! GET ONE!
