I bought this several months ago in the metal finish and absolutely love it. It's really quick to whip it out of the drawer, use it for 1 minute or less, and then just wash off the detachable blade mechanism. And it's beautiful to boot. I've used it the puree for homemade salsa, ice cream, soups, etc., etc. I plan to get several more for Christmas gifts for my friends and family. Occasionally I goof on Amazon but not very often, and definitely not on this!

This thing is great. I was debating this or a magic bullet blender. I went with this in the hopes that it was a little more powerful, and easier to clean. It certainly excels in both areas. It's super easy to throw some fruit (frozen or fresh) into the cup, blend it up for a nice smoothie, rinse the thing off and head on your way. I've only had it a week, but it certainly feels sturdy and built to last.

I've just used this for smoothies so far. Easy to use and much easier to clean than a regular blender. I like that I can isolate the frozen chunks to pulverize them unlike a regular blender which often leaves some frozen pieces untouched.
