This medicine cost about half as much as the Vet was charging me for the product, given that 80 pills only lasts 40 days half off is a great price. As far as the product goes, my 17 year-old cat seems to be benefitting greatly from teh medicine, he no longer appears to be in pain when he stands up or sits down.

My male cat is 17 years old. He was having joint pain in both of his back legs and had difficulty getting around. He wouldn't even let you touch his backside without yee-owing in pain. I started him on Cosequin and can already tell the difference in his mobility and pain level. He's still hurting a bit and has difficulty moving at times, but I think it's too soon to tell the full benefit (so only gave it 4 stars instead of 5). The capsules are easy to open and put into his wet food. However, I'm going to take the advice of one of the reviewers and just give it to him in a Tablespoon of food, then give him the rest of his food, because he doesn't always finish the food I put it in, so I'm not sure he's getting the full dosage necessary. Oh yeah, he must be feeling better, because I caught him having his way with my little 6 year old female cat the other day. All in all, I would recommend this product.

I have only had this for 3 days so no idea yet how much it will help my 16 yr old cat. I will say this, he is picky when it comes to meds and most things, no matter how hard i mix it or what i mix it in, he will not eat it. He loves canned cheese, so I spray some cheese on a plate, sprinkle a pill of this on the cheese then just a tiny bit more cheese on top, no need to mix as he eats it all up without mixing. (as to the cheese, within reason, if he will eat it, he gets it. Very hard to keep any weight on him anymore.)
