Pros & Cons :maybe using the western knife sharpener altered the blade (european knives have a 20deg blade, japanese a 15 deg one - maybe mine ended up with a 20deg blade?
Works great for sharpening, not sure if it is better than other model for Western knives

Pros & Cons :coarse disc for getting the chips out, then a 1000-grit disc at 10-15 degrees for sharpening and a 4000-6000 grit at 15-17.
