Pros & Cons :this is a great stove, it cranks out the heat, takes coal or wood, very easy to clean, always drafts the way it's supposed to draft, and is much hotter than any insert having a blower.
...The bottm does not get overheated--my cats like to sleep right underneath it, so you know it is safe. I used to heat up tea on the top with a cast iron tea pot, and toasted bread for fun a couple ... read more
