WOW. It's March 2009 and STILL Bunn is shipping DOA units. I just received mine and it won't work. I got the same customer service response as the rest of the one start reviews. I wish I had looked here before I bought. The decision would have been VERY different. do NOT buy this! I had one shipped from the manufacturer and it arrived DOA. the online retailer refunded my $$ and said this: "Bunn had to pull every single My Cafe brewer out of stock, both the new and remanufactured units, because they discovered a defective part in them. He told me, it will probably be sometime in May at the very soonest before the My Cafe brewers are available again. I'm thinking they may have to recall the units which may be in stores throughout the country too because they've certainly got the same defective part in them too. "

I have this machine hooked up to my water line and it is the best. After a year it leaked but bunn exchanged it with no problem. I am a coffee drinker and love the no fuss and ability to use any size pod or cup. I get a little splatter with it but not enough to agrivate me. If it breaks I will buy another. Hook it up to your water line and you will love it!!! I wish bunn would make a reusable pod and than it would be unbeatable.

We have the high-altitude version at home, and the high-altitude plumbed-in version at work. After 2.5 years, both units have now failed, but in different ways - one has as internal leak, the other mostly puts out steam instead of water. Both units were always very inconsistent in the amount of coffee dispensed. Both units were always very inconsistent in the strength of the coffee brewed, on more so than the other. When the coffee was good, it was quite good, when it was bad, it tasted like cardboard. We now have the Cuisinart Cup O Matic at work, and everyone agrees the coffee flavor is FAR superior to what the Bunn's made.
