Finish is child-safe and lead free. All wood is fully sanded and protected with a clean smooth coating to prevent cracks and splinters. Solid Brazilian Pine - no particle board. Ladder rungs are flat (not vertical) for added comfort for your child's feet and can be either attached permanently with screws or ""hooked"" on and off.
