Make your own branch lamp

The name “branch lamp” pretty much sums up what the product is. It is made from a felled tree branch, with some metal shims, a lampshade, cord and a light bulb. With its weathered branch base, this lamp adds modern, naturalist style to any place.
Research led me to the estimate that the floor lamps in this style start at $1,000 and the lighting system goes up for $500. Therefore, for buying one of these lavish antique pieces, you will land up emptying your pockets. I think it is pretty steep price for a branch and required accessories.
Cannot afford it? No problem, make your own. The difficult part is finding the perfect branch and a branch design that is appealing. The design and wood need to be well thought-out as different shapes and types offer diverse possibilities and limitations. See that the branch is sturdy and elegant and provides a stable base when set up. Sand the wood and stain it a shade of paint you would like. Seal the wood with linseed oil.
Then use your creative flare to find the matching hardware and lampshade needed to make your own branch lamp.
In the top end of the branch, make a hole, 5-6 mm- in diameter. Fix the lamp bulb in this space. Take care to assemble the lamp parts correctly and securely.
It is sure to draw interest from guests and cast an enchanting glow to any setting. The illuminated creation is ideal for use in your home or office. Add a branch lamp to your decor and bring the outdoors indoor with a branch lamp.
