I am very happy with the Blueair 250E! It is very quiet, very easy to set up and easy to move to other rooms. I highly recommend this product to anyone. I have a large apartment with very high ceilings. It worked instantly to take out any dander or dust (I have a dog..need I say more?)

So far so good. We've had the purifier for about a month. It runs on the lowest setting usually, so the air in our house is a lot cleaner than I thought which is good. It automatically adjusts speed to the quality of air. Very, very quiet. Even on highest setting, it is hardly noticeable. I did tons of research before deciding on this purifier. It really is the best in price range, and the best choice for asthma sufferers. It does not emit ozone ( which I found out a lot of lower end purifiers do) which is an irritant for asthma sufferers.

First a note about the color-it is not really beige like it looks in the picture, it's more of a nice off-white. This is a great unit for the price! I started with a Blueair 402 unit but that unit was just too big for my room. The 402 is way bigger than even the largest computer tower I've seen and it's too heavy to move around too. The 250E is the perfect size and can be fairly easily moved around from room to room if need be. Also, it includes electronics on it that has a remote with a timer, something the 402 model did not have. The 402 is slightly quieter at the lowest speed setting because it has a larger fan inside so it can move slower, but the 250E is still very quiet. Even at the middle speed setting, I find the sound level to be soothing and I even sleep well at that setting! This unit seems very well made and quite sturdy. I would recommend it for the size, features and price. Unless your room is quite large, you probably do not need a larger unit. For an office, den or bedroom, this is the unit to get. For a large living room, you may wish to consider one of the larger units; just be aware that they are bigger than the online pictures look and will be quite imposing in the room unless you can hide it off in a corner or something.
