i found that the batteries i had were still good, my problem was the battery charger. i didn't realize that the charger was failing. i now have four good batteries since i purchased a new charger.my only suggestion would be to have the warning about using the charger for three consecutive hours should be permanently noted on or fixed on the charger.

this product is even better than the original that came with the drill. affords me all the power I need for home use...
