I have used this saw to cut branches as big as 6 inches in diameter. It is much slower than gasoline, but does not require the gas startup problem. I have owned 6 gas chain saws over the past 30 years and none are easy to start or to keep running. The saw is hard on the low capacity Nicad batteries, perhaps 6 cuts of 5 inch branches per charge. B & D would have done much better with NiMh batteries.

I am 75 years old and have numerous health problems, the least of which is a back full of metal fram a broken back, The pole saw lets me prune my Sycamore tree with ease and also my neighbors Locus trees that hang over my fence. This is top of the line product. Thanks for the ease of purchase. John McFarren

I purchased this item because I have a lot of trees and shrubs in my yard and my husband is disabled and no longer can use a chain saw for trimming and pruning. I have used it on several occasions and it does the job, but the only problem I have, is when I use the extension, it is too heavy for me to reach the higher limbs. I would recommend this item to others who need to trim but can't climb to do it. Betty Lowery
