My husband bought this for me near Easter time thinking it would be a huge help to me to have 2 vaccuums, as we have a four level home. I was thrilled! I saw this lift off revolution before and thought it would be great. I already had a Dyson....so want to know how they stack up? WARNING: the results are grim for Bissell. These are my thoughts on the first use of the Bissell Lift off: First of all, easy to put together. That is a plus. But so was the Dyson. When running the Bissell, a very annoying aspect is that the brush stops rolling at the slightest tilt of the vacuum upward. Very frustrating! Does not allow for very much manuevering. The hose is terrible. It gets me cranky just to have to use it. It has a twist "locking and unlocking" part that consistently unlocks itself. Utterly annoying and difficult to use. You also have to put the hose together each time of use. I don't really like that. The hose suction is hardly there. Very dissapointing. The turbo brush is great...for a turbo brush that is. These have never been my favorite new invention because they are so wide that it is difficult to clean the edges of stairs. But this one on the bissell is small enough and it has rubber grippers that work great on pet hair. Best turbo brush I've used by far, definitely beats my Dyson turbo brush. The machine runs hot, almost as if it is overheating. Hot air blows at you from the back. THis is disturbing. The vacuum shoots things out a bit. Overall, it is an okay vaccuum but not one of the best. I was hoping that it would be comparable to my Dyson and I would have two monsters in my home. But sadly, the Dyson killed the Bissell on vaccumming. I've had my Dyson for over a year and it works amazing. I have 4 little kids and 2 dogs, and it hasn't conked out on me yet. I have gone through so many vacuumms that I am afraid this Bissell will be in the trash in no time. Sorry guys!

I bought it in local store in 2006. I have ever used it only less than 5 times so far because it doesn't pick up anything. The brush stirs up hairs and leave them on carpet. In fact, when I am trying to clean inside, it's surprised me there is nothing there. It simply doesn't work. It's light and quiet. Otherwise, I will rate it 0.

This vacuum is a dream - I had no idea cleaning a rug covered in dog hair could be so easy. The pet brush attachment is great as well - super easy to use and so far has sucked all the hair up without me having to pull hair out at the end. I would have bought this so much sooner had I known how great it was!
