Super Bowl Party Food
Super bowl (soon to be a national holiday, I hope) is the perfect time to prepare some delicious snacks.
Touchdown Taco Dip – An easy dip recipe, and perfect for a large gathering, like a super bowl party:
- 15-16 oz. can of refried beans
- 8 ounce brick of cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (pressed)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 plum tomatoes (chopped)
- cilantro—(use as much as you’d like)
- 1/4 cup black olives (chopped)
Spread the refried beans out on the bottom of your dish. Soften the brick of cream cheese in the microwave. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning together and spread over the beans. Spread the shredded cheddar cheese as the next layer and then bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. While it’s in the oven, you can chop your tomatoes and olives. When you take the dish out of the oven you can spread the tomatoes, olives and cilantro on top. And there you have Touchdown Taco Dip. Grab the barbecue set for your Magnum barbecues, throw some tri-tip on the grill and you’re set for super bowl food.
Of course, to make any super bowl party a success, you’ll need some beer to serve along with your nonalcoholic beverages. To please the many beer preferences at your party, you’ll want to offer a large variety. Instead of taking up space in your fridge, try a beer bottle refrigerator.
