I ordered this for my son for his second birthday. He has a favorite sleepy dog and a teddy bear, but he started to want to take a wooden train or two into the bed with him. And I'd find trains lodged under his back in the middle of the night. So, I searched for a stuffed Thomas character that would help. His favorites, Gordon and Bertie, were not available in plush, so I tried his third favorite, James. When it came it was very stiff and unhuggable. He has it in the car with him, but it wasn't comfortable to sleep with. So I ordered this one, and he loves it. He points out the wheels, and "peep peeps and "woo woos" with him while he's falling asleep. It is also a pretty large pillow like toy. The James was only 9" this one is much more playful stuffed toy and less of a figurine. Most importantly he LOVES to hug this Thomas.

I was really looking forward to this pillow. I have enjoyed the other Boppy products I have purchased and was pleased with the slipcover and shape of the pillow. My disappointment was over the fact that after sleeping with this pillow for about two weeks the filling was so scrunched up and beaten down that the pillow was not very useful. Expected more out of the Boppy product.

This is an okay maternity support pillow, but I'm sure you could find something much better. Several other reviewers have mentioned that the stuffing tends to separate over time and bunch up, and this is all true and really annoying. Initially, it was really nice and provided good support between my legs and the larger, "belly" support section is nice and squishy and is comfortable under/against my belly. The pillow seems a little wider than necessary - it takes up a LOT of room in our full size bed, and turning with it under the covers is an event which wakes me up every time (I suspect this is true of all maternity pillows, though). After using it for 2-3 months, and despite nightly fluffing and shaking, the stuffing has become separated and a little flat in spots, especially in the area that I place between my legs - so flat and unsupportive, in fact, that I've started sleeping with a second, regular pillow on top of the Boppy pillow to try to keep my hips level. Coordinating two pillows to turn from side to side is much worse than just the one. Overall, this is an okay pillow - it's not great and if you really need support, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. If you just want something squishy to provide very light support, this might work for you.

I was really looking forward to this pillow, as I am currently about 5 1/2 months along, and have been having a lot of discomfort trying to sleep. I wanted a pillow that would go between my knees, and also hold my belly up a bit, so that my back didn't hurt so much. It did help with these two problems, but the pillow has some issues of its own. As other reviewers have said, there seems to be an excess of stuffing at the top of the pillow. It takes up a lot of space in the bed, and makes turning over cumbersome when you have anything more than a sheet covering you (as a heavy blanket holds it down). So while I am more comfortable while asleep, I wake up every time I want to turn to my other side. It seems like the pillow would be a lot better if the top part were more narrow.
