It contains a steel mechanism that is manufactured in the USA, and it has a safety feature whereby a child cannot simply sit on the chair and recline without an adult first pulling out the footrest the first few inches to avoid any fingers from being pinched, etc. Each chair is then upholstered in 100% cotton duck cloth in the pattern/color of their choice. Every recliner has a stylish, tufted backrest with a large rounded top. The inner backrest has a horizontal stitching in the mid-section to enhance the tufting effect. The armrests are slightly larger at the top and both sides have a flattened top and front surface. There is a recessed plastic cupholder inserted into the right-hand armrest surface. There are four round plastic "feet" on each chair in order to prevent the fabric from being torn, and for additional style. The seat height is 13.5" from the floor, and this item is recommended for children from 3 to 7 years old. There is a recommended weight limit of 75 lbs.
