I haven't been a friend of plastic for some time. Research that has linked plastic bottle usage (especially as it gets warmed) with breast cancer (see info on Sheryl Crow's Oncologist). It motivated me to RESEARCH bottles for my electrolyte water that I have to have due to a health problem. Yes, they are glass so you can just throw them around but they are not ultra thin glass, made solid. They are tall but they store a perfect amt of water. I will be ordering another batch. They wash well in the dishwasher. The lids are solid! A GREAT PURCHASE!

The good far outweighs the bad. The bad? Glass can break, plastic caps can break down. The good? I purchased it direct from aquasana with free shipping. $5 a bottle is an excellent price. I read the reviews before purchasing, inquired with the manufacturer and they sell replacement plastic caps. I don't have to worry about cancer-causing anything getting into my body. I used to have 8 nalgenes but had to get rid of them. The plastic users will say the amount of chemical coming out of the plastic into the water is too small to count. But I say we have small amounts of cancer-causing stuff coming at us from our water bottles, non-stick cookware, pesticides on (in?) our food supply, in the air... it all adds up to bad news. Every little thing we can do helps. Thank you, Aquasana.

I ordered a pack of these bottles with my drinking water system and am so glad I did. I could never find a portable glass container for water until I ordered from Aquasana. The bottles look great and make the water taste so clean and fresh!
