This is a relatively inexpensive, well made, well functioning hot tea maker that has an adjustment for tea strength in the brewing process. It does, however lack one imortant and convient feature. It cannnot be pre- set to brew at a set time as most coffee makers. Nevertheless, it makes good tea, is reliable and, and inexpensively priced.

The Sunbeam works great with fine cut loose tea. I drink six cups a day and I like it strong - so I use it on the strongest setting, but it's never bitter like it is if you oversteep it. Coarse cut tea requires more steeping time. I use Twinings fine cut Irish Breakfast tea - 1/2 teaspoon in each side. It will work with coarse tea, but you have to use twice as much for the same effect. And it does boil the water - that's how the water makes it up the tube to the top - just like in a drip coffeemaker, but it's slightly below boiling temperature when it drips through. The only "problem" is that it gets very dirty with the amount I drink, but it's easy to take apart to clean.

I really like this product overall. I bought it for work so that I could kick the coffee habit with lots of the fake creamer in lieu of Green Tea with Honey. A much healthier alternative. One problem I had with it was the pot design and the water tank. I always end up spilling the water in order to pour it all in the reservoir. It makes delicious tea but I haven't totally kicked the coffee yet.

Easy to use and makes the best iced tea! I use 4 regular sized teabags per quart and it comes out perfect every time. It uses a lot of ice so be sure to have extra bags on hand.

My only regret was I couldnt find a 2 qt model at Walmart. So I figured I would take the 3 and make 2 qts at a time. That was fine for a while. But now after about 6 months or so. Only half the water in the machine comes out in a brewing process, so I have to wait for it to finish, and start it a second time. Anyone else have this problem? I tried the loose tea once, yuk, bits and pieces all in my tea, yes even thru the filter. Other than that, it makes some great ice tea.

I have gone through a number of these, both the 2 qt and 3 qt. I use it once or twice everyday. I never place in dishwasher. I add ice manually by hand. And inevitably every single picture develops a crack down the front after roughly one year of use. Then it starts to leak inside the refrigerator. I usually just replace the whole unit at Walmart - about the same cost as the replacement picture with the added shipping. The tea is excellent, if the pictures held up better I would rate it 5.

Amazon was the only place I could find the size picter for my Mr. Iced Tea maker. This one works just great. And I've noticed you can put it in the dishwasher on and hot wash (not scouring hot!).

I'm not saying the actual product isn't good because I haven't received mine yet. I ordered it at least 2 1/2 weeks ago and received an iron instead! The company is in the process of rectifying the situation but its taking a long time. They also have not offered any compensation for the mistake. I thought buying online would have been a simple way to go, but maybe I should have gone to a store instead. This is not an Amazon mistake, but the company that ships it out.
