    This unit replaced our original DLC-11 we purchased 25 years ago. The bowl of the original unit cracked, and rather than spend $55 to replace the bowl we purchased this unit. We didn't really need the extra capacity offered by our original Cuisinart. This Cuisinart works fine, and we're pretty sure you'll like it too. The Pulse button works differently, but it still works logically and smoothly. If you've never owned a Cuisinart, do yourself a favor and buy this model. It will save you more time and effort than you can imagine! If only it weren't manufactured in China.

    We had one of these and it was an absolute wonder. Always dependable, did most everything we required of it. Then my nephew bumped it off the coutertop (it was a high countertop). We ordered another one and it took over where the other left off. The only reason I didn't give it a five is due to the fact that the discs are not as heavy on this one as on the previous unit, so we're using the old discs and container from the previous one.

    I used to love this product just as many others do. Unfortunately, a small piece of the blade broke off in the food I was chopping, and if I hadn't seen it, my children could have swallowed the blade. Cuisinart sent a replacement blade, and recently this SECOND blade broke off into my food. After being well-informed of the danger, Cuisinart's only response has been to offer another of the same hazardous blade.
