Why did I give up my cheap, old, slightly tarnished, harsh-edged stamped-steel measuring spoons for these? Because they are very handsome and very functional. Great look and feel to them, they genuinely add a little bit extra to any cooking experience. Listen to me: All-Clad do not fool around. They do not.

This review is for the following: All-Clad 8 Pc. STANDARD-Size Measuring Cup & Spoon Combo Set which has Spoon sizes: ¼ teaspoon, ½ teaspoon, 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon Cup sizes: ¼, 1/3, ½, 1 The spoons are rock solid and a "little" better than my CIA spoon set. The cups are also rock solid and "much" better than my MIU cups! The set is made exclusively for Williams-Sonoma (WS) so I'm not sure if the set can be found at Amazon. The set at WS is about $39 so it's a better deal to buy the set instead of purchasing the spoons or cups separately. Note this is a "standard" set. WS also carries All-Clad 6 Pc. ODD-size Measuring Cup & Spoon Combo Set which has Spoon sizes: 2 teaspoons, 1.5 teaspoons, 2 tablespoons Cup sizes: 2/3, ¾, 1.5 The latter set is about $30. Note this is an "odd" set. Both sets will set you back about $70 and is well worth it. The two issues I have with these sets is, first, the cups will not stack. The cups from the standard set will stack and the cups from the odd set will stack but putting all the cups together will not stack. My next issue is that the sets do not have the 1/8 cup or 1/8 teaspoons. So you have to remember that two tablespoons make 1/8 cup. Their 1/4 cup does have a line on it marking where 1/8 is. I think 1/8 teaspoon is possibly the same as a "dash." I guess I'll have to eye-ball the 1/8 teaspoon. The MIU cup set has 1/8 cup and the CIA measuring spoon set has 1/8 teaspoon. Please note that I just got my MIU and CIA about a week ago and the All-Clad is so nice that I bought it and I'm giving the MIU and CIA to my daughter. No, I am not an All-Clad fan. Look at the review I wrote about All-Clad's Cop-R-Chef (it got 1 star).
